DEEPSPACE (DPS) MAINNET LAUNCH AND STAKING ANNOUNCEMENT
The DEEPSPACE Team has some very exciting news for everyone who has been following along patiently!
1. The DEEPSPACE App will be going live on BNB Smart Chain mainnet in exactly one week on 03/11/22 at 7PM EST. This includes minting your own real ships and staking them, and using the outpost. The DEEPSPACE Team is in the midst of resource mining and combat development, and are on track for play-to-earn, GameFi, functionality in alignment with the timeline. You’ll see more of the game and new mainnet app updates in the AMA tomorrow.
2. Genesis ship minting will no longer be unlimited quantity for unlimited time. You will only be able to mint these Genesis NFT ships for a week! Whatever quantity is minted at the end of this one week period, that starts exactly one week from now, will be the max total supply forever. Once the week is over, the Genesis ships are sold out and can only be acquired from other users in the marketplace — making them more and more scarce over time. This method incentivizes the DEEPSPACE’s secondary marketplace volume and increased value generation for these ships as the supply will be limited and deflationary. This method is important to the team, because it rewards early adopters (you all).
3. New users will always have an affordable on-ramp to the DEEPSPACE platform and game because ship minting will always remain 150 DPS for new collections of ships. That’s right — sometime after the Genesis Ship Collection sells out, new collections of ships will be released! Their mint will not be time limited so they will be nowhere near as scarce, and these new ships will have differing abilities. Each collection will bring new ideas and abilities to the game!
4. There are four staking pools: 1–2 star safe and risky, and 3–5 star safe and risky. Risky pools are defined as such because there is a 25–75% chance of losing your ship on submission, based on your submitted ships luck stat. Rewards are distributed based on your corrected total level relative to total level in the pool. Corrected total level is defined as (total level * rarity multiplier). You can stake/unstake up to 10 ships at once. You cannot stake your ship and play with your ship at the same time — you must choose between them.
5. The staking reward period will be 100 days. During the reward period, there will be a 10 DPS unstake fee. If you keep your ships in the pools until the end of the reward period, you will be able to unstake for free. The purpose of staking is to provide use case for the ships in the interim until the full game launches with P2E.
6. Ship minting will be $20 worth of DPS at the time of launch (150 DPS), and will remain that quantity of DPS forever. As the price of DPS changes, the mint price will change proportionally.
