DEEPSPACE (DPS) has been Audited by CertiK (CTK)
The DEEPSPACE Team selected CertiK as their audit provider due to their industry recognition, review rigor, and industry expertise. The team has been working with CertiK since their token launch on August 23, 2021, with reviewing their contract for vulnerabilities, and ensuring a detailed security assessment was performed on the contract.
In addition, CertiK has a very rigorous process, as defined below, that any cryptocurrency must go through as part of completing their audit process.
The auditing process pays special attention to the following considerations:
✔ ️ Testing the smart contracts against both common and uncommon attack vectors.
✔ ️ Assessing the codebase to ensure compliance with current best practices and industry standards.
✔ ️ Ensuring contract logic meets the specifications and intentions of the client.
✔ ️ Cross referencing contract structure and implementation against similar smart contracts produced by industry leaders.
✔ ️ Thorough line-by-line manual review of the entire codebase by industry experts.
After this initial audit, CertiK provided the team with a security assessment where they were able to collaborate on the findings.
The security assessment resulted in findings that ranged from critical to informational. We recommend addressing these findings to ensure a high level of security standards and industry practices. We suggest recommendations that could better serve the project from the security perspective:
✔ ️ Enhance general coding practices for better structures of source codes;
✔ ️ Add enough unit tests to cover the possible use cases;
✔ ️ Provide more comments per each function for readability, especially contracts that are verified in public;
✔ ️ Provide more transparency on privileged activities once the protocol is live.
What’s in the audit report?
The audit reports are custom, thorough, and transparent. The report will contain the details of any identified vulnerabilities and classify them by severity (Critical, Major, Medium, Low, and Informational), along with suggested remediation. Diagrams are included to provide visualized insights about the project and help one to understand the source of identified vulnerabilities.
By working closely with the CertiK engineering team, the DEEPSPACE team was able to work to partially resolve all Major vulnerabilities, acknowledge all minor vulnerabilities, resolve an informational vulnerability, and acknowledge the remaining vulnerabilities. Their report covers all the details and addresses both CertiK’s and DEEPSPACE’s comments on each item.
